American Express Business Travel is seeking to make corporate travel planning and cost saving a little easier. The business travel management company today announced the launch of eXpert insights, a new subscription-based research practice that will provide corporations with exclusive T&E data and program planning advice.
Members will be able to access a comprehensive $100 billion-plus T&E spending database and a collection of best practice publications from noted industry consultants. Additional benefits include a monthly newsletter, the Business Travel Monitor pricing benchmark report, an annual industry business travel forecast, and "eXpert on demand" client-to-consultant service.
eXpert insights' inaugural report, "Creative Cost Savings in Air" is also available to subscribers. The Best Practices Roadmap shares insight into savings available by using flight alternative strategies; non-restricted tickets; and knowledge of daily rate differentials.
Christa Degnan Manning, formerly a research analyst and research director for Aberdeen Group and AMR Research, has been chosen to head the practice. Her responsibilities will include identifying industry trends, educating clients on trend impact and market changes as well as publishing advice and strategy articles on cost cutting, risk management, compliance and sustainability.

Subscription to eXpert insights and access to the Best Practices Roadmap is available via an annual enterprise licensing fee. Company pricing rates are determined by the total number of employees using the service.
