The Promotion Marketing Association (PMA) shined the spotlight on the best integrated marketing campaigns during its 25th Anniversary Reggie Awards earlier this month in Chicago. Fifty gold, silver and bronze awards were given across 16 categories based on the criteria of overall originality; execution of promotional materials; creative, tactics and scope; results in achieving marketing objectives; and building the brand through sales lift.
"The Reggie Awards have grown since being introduced 25 years ago. They have grown in stature, in the number of entries and in sophistication," says Bonnie Carlson, president of PMA which is based in New York. "For many companies, it is a real badge of honor to receive a Reggie Award because it is recognized as a symbol of excellence."
This year, FreshWorks and 7-Eleven took home the Super Reggie Award for the Simpsons Kwik-E-Mart Campaign, a tie-in to the release of The Simpsons Movie. The compelling initiative brought the Simpsons to life by converting 12 stores into Kwik-E-Marts with fun products such as Squishee beverages, Sprinkalicious donuts, Buzz cola and KrustyO's cereal.
