MP3 Players Take a Corporate Shape January 07, 2009 Sourcery introduces Custom Shaped MP3 Players for corporate market

Always at the forefront of technology, Sourcery is known for its attention-getting gadgetry. Building on the success of developing design-driven USB drives for Fortune 500 companies, the New York City-based promotional products provider is introducing a new innovation that will likely attract plenty of interest from music fans—Custom Shaped MP3 Players.
Unlike other audio devices where branding begins and ends with the addition of a corporate logo, these Custom Shaped MP3 Players stray from convention by offering a visually compelling and sophisticated solution that also boasts impressive sound quality.
"Each MP3 player can be custom designed to include a brand icon, logo or combination of those things, so this is what makes it special," says Noah Ross, president of Sourcery. "Most MP3 players used for corporate incentives or as promotional products are a pre-set design, where the only option is to imprint the logo on the piece. In this particular instance, corporations have the opportunity to create a custom shape in the design of their recognizable brand. It is a unique property that can't be replicated and it will create strong brand affinity."
Sourcery's approach to design assures complete attention to detail. After the product design team and account managers determine the best branding elements, industrial designers build 3D models to achieve a photo realistic rendering of the MP3 player. Upon client approval, a pre-production sample is created, with the design process ultimately culminating in the manufacturing of a one-of-a-kind product that can be used for internal and external marketing initiatives.
All MP3 Players come packaged in a mini transparent plastic case with a custom insert, and can be uploaded with original content including music, speeches and other files. Sourcery requires a minimum order of 250 pieces, with design to delivery taking approximately one month.
