Tumi Debuts Sundance Collection February 25, 2009 Tumi's sophisticated leather day bag line complements casual lifestyles
By Jeanie Casison
Weekends at the beach or overnight stays require fashionable and functional travel accessories to take all your stuff. Enter Sundance, the latest line from Tumi that features classic leather day bags.
"In this market environment, we are seeing a flight to quality. If there is a budget, incentive planners tend to spend more of that budget on one quality branded item as opposed to a bunch of smaller items," says Mike Landry, director of special markets for Tumi in South Plainfield, New Jersey. Sundance is very upscale and the bags in the collection will last someone a lifetime.
All of the items in the Sundance collection—a messenger bag, cross body bag, back pack and waist pack—have convenient features, including pockets and places to hold personal essentials, such as cell phones, MP3 players, keys and more. Crafted from pebble grained, naturally tumbled leather, the Sundance collection is available in straw (light beige), brown and black. In the coming months, Tumi plans on launching an assortment of Sundance small leather goods.
