Sony Unveils World's First HD Video WALKMAN October 25, 2007 Compact device offers convenient features

Technophiles may be interested in the world's first HD Video WALKMAN, introduced by Sony to the marketplace in September. The GV-HD700 is compact and portable allowing for the viewing and playback of high-definition HDV video and standard mini DV tapes.
The HD Video WALKMAN features a WVGA, 7-inch widescreen LCD screen for monitoring video and still images. The device can record HDV and DV signals from an external source for use as a back-up deck as well as transfer still images from tapes to Memory Stick media cards.
In addition, the model has multiple ports for recording and playing tapes from a range of sources and features HDMI output for connection to a compatible HDTV or computer monitor. Supplied accessories include an AC adaptor, wireless remote controller, component cable and AV multi cable (without S video).
