Tumi Thinks Ahead with 'Just In Case' Tote June 05, 2009 Travel accessory makes airport check-in a breeze

When airlines started upping the ante at the check-in counter with a new matrix of baggage fees, Tumi stepped up with a slick solution for the slightly over-packed road warrior—its FXT Just In Case tote, a leather-handled bag that folds to almost nothing and can be pulled out to hold some items to bring down the weight of a checked bag.
Until now, the only way you could get a Just In Case tote was to buy luggage from Tumi’s Alpha collection. But the Just In Case is now available in nothing more than a slim matching pouch. Its tight packaging, under $100 price point, and variety of colors make it an incentive item that is easy to give and easy to tailor to the recipient.
“It’s a great gift for someone who travels a lot for their job and has paid this fee to airlines many times,” says Mike Landry, director of special markets for Tumi.
The Just In Case tote also has an over-handle sleeve, an opening that lets a traveler easily attach it to the handle of a wheeled bag for easy transport.
