Incentive Insights Podcast: Taking ROI Seriously

As the economic crisis has forced companies to tighten their belts and justify every expense, incentive programs have come under intense scrutiny. Many companies have cut back on their reward programs, regardless of how successful they may have been. Sometimes this makes sense, but too often decisions to cut back incentives are made out of fear more than careful consideration, according to the members of Incentive’s 8th Annual Industry Roundtable.

In this first installment of Incentive’s new monthly Incentive Insights podcast, sponsored by Nikon, industry veterans discuss the importance of measuring ROI. Dick Gaeta, president of Premier Incentives; Dennis Borst, president and COO of Patriot Marketing Group; and Fay Beachine, president engagement and events, of Carlson Marketing, describe how in this environment, being able to prove the value of incentive programs is the best defense against politicians and angry shareholders, and that making measurement a priority is more vital than ever.
