IMA Summit Promises to Impart Web 2.0, Sales 2.0, Social Media Marketing Ideas for Today’s Economy July 07, 2009
The Incentive Marketing Association's 10th Annual Executive Summit, dubbed “Leadership Connected,” will integrate the topics dealing with Web 2.0 and illustrate how to market and sell in the new world economy. The event, July 26-28 in Tucson, AZ, promises to give participants insights into how to think more strategically about marketing and sales.
The summit will be headlined by keynote speaker Dr. Steve Robbins, a nationally recognized diversity consultant, and two general sessions. The Marketing & Leadership session will be presented by Gary Slack, CEO of Slack Barshinger and president-elect of the Business Marketing Association, who will discuss the increasing importance of social media and Web 2.0 marketing, especially during these challenging times, which present an opportunity to reconsider business and marketing fundamentals.
Sales & Leadership will be presented by Gerhard Gschwandtner, founder and publisher of Selling Power magazine. Gschwandtner will present strategies and tools to create more business. Sales 2.0 is the new success paradigm that combines customer-focused methodologies with productivity-enhancing technology to transform selling from an art to a science.
Several workshop sessions will discuss social networking, new trends and measurements for customer loyalty, and employee incentive programs, including:
• "The Business Case for Incentive Program Results Measurement." In this seminar, participants will learn the principles of ROI program measurement and design in accordance with IMA best practices and other leading methods that incorporate a holistic approach to the entire business, including financial analysis that demonstrates proven results. Case studies will be shared, and speakers will include Ira Ozer, president of Motivation Partners; Bob Dawson, founder of the Business Group; and Todd Hanson, president of Catalyst Performance Group.
• "Trends in Loyalty: Best Practices for the New Customer." The session will be moderated by Mark Johnson, CEO of Loyalty 360 and discuss the economy and customer behavior changes that require new strategies and best practices. A panel of loyalty experts will share their insights and a road map for success, including Nancy Berg of Kobie Marketing; Luc Bondar, global vice president of loyalty at Carlson Marketing Worldwide; John Dawson, senior vice president of sales at DataCo; and Peter Davis, president of Vesdia.
According to IMA Summit Chairman Rick Blabolil, this year’s conference is squarely targeted at practical and valuable ideas and techniques for all attendees. “Our goal is to deliver content that is relevant, innovative, and thought-provoking. In these uncertain economic times, our commitment is to deliver a significant return on [participants'] time and money,” he said.
