Excellence Playa Mujeres Opens In November

Excellence Resorts will open its second Mexican adults-only, all-inclusive resort on Nov. 1. The Excellence Playa Mujeres, located 30 minutes from Cancun International Airport, is set on a secluded, 20-mile peninsula that has a remote two-mile stretch of white sand beach, the company says.
The resort's 450 suites feature an elegant, contemporary décor, as well as amenities including extra wide L-shaped sofas, expansive private terraces or balconies, private Jacuzzis, marble bathrooms, a pillow menu, wireless Internet connectivity and 42-inch flat-screen televisions. The two-story rooftop terrace suites have private HydroSpa pools, while junior swim-up suites feature private gardens, with a hammock. Excellence Club suites offer top-notch views, a personal concierge with private check-in/check-out, superior amenities including Bulgari toiletries and access to a private Club beach and lounge.
Resort amenities include Excellence Resorts' first signature Miilé Spa—literally an island of relaxation, as it’s surrounded by water. Blending traditional local elements with modern beauty techniques, Miilé Spa features heated relaxation beds for post-hydrotherapy relaxation, a spa concierge and a Caldarium that detoxifies and opens pores prior to a treatment. Silk Suites are specially designed for Asian spa techniques, such as shiatsu and reiki, while luxury couple suites feature private steam rooms, hydrotherapy treatment baths, massage suites and secluded relaxation terraces with ocean views.
The resort has a 170-slip marina and is near the Playa Mujeres Golf Club, which has an 18-hole championship Greg Norman-designed golf course. The property includes seven swimming pools, four Jacuzzis and five integrated whirlpools; eight gourmet, inclusive restaurants; 11 bars; and 17,000 square feet of meeting space.
