• Saba released Saba Enterprise 5.4 SP3, which incorporates a workforce planning module and an open content integration framework with new features to support customer choice in content vendors, tools, and offline players.
Within the Saba Content Integration Framework (CIF), Saba Enterprise 5.4 SP3 provides support for SCORM 2004 Edition 3, SkillSoft OLSA Asset Integration, Plug-and-Play Offline Content Players, and tight integration to Saba Publisher or the content development tools of a customer's choice.
• The IVT, Inc., and Siris Media released a portable video production studio with built-in rich media Webcasting software. The technology is designed to provide all the necessary software and hardware tools for enterprise users to immediately record, edit, publish, share, and track studio-quality video Webcasts and podcasts.
• 3M Projection Systems Department introduced the SCP740, a projector that gives customers the benefit of the 3M Vikuiti Super Close Projection technology, thereby minimizing shadows when mounted on the ceiling. The new projector features a six-segment color wheel and DVI-I connection, enabling it to create wide video images. It also includes a wind tunnel attachment to reduce fan noise distraction during meetings and presentations.
• AVerMedia Technologies, Inc., released the AVerVision SPB350 Visual Presenter. The SPB350 combines a 5 megapixel camera sensor and 1080p HD output with 20x AVer Optical Zoom, interactive software, network sharing capability, a 4"x3" lightbox, and exclusive AVerMedia presentation features.
