• Wireless Computing released the RF-222 Wireless Keyboard, which has a 100-foot range and is intended to be used in corporate conference rooms, training rooms, and auditoriums. The keyboard's optical trackball is designed to respond to a light touch with precise cursor control, and its encryption and 32,000-plus digital addresses guard against crosstalk and illicit interception.
• Toshiba introduced the TDP-SP1U projector, designed for users who need a mobile solution. It includes color fidelity with DLP BrilliantColor technology and an extended lamp life of up to 4,000 hours in economy mode. It is suitable for classroom installation and mobile business presentations.
• The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), a provider of vendor-neutral certifications, expanded its CompTIA CTT+ certification to include a module for virtual classroom trainers, giving candidates the option to be certified as a Classroom Trainer or Virtual Classroom Trainer. The new online trainer module is designed to allow instructors and trainers to prove their ability to train effectively in a virtual classroom environment using online collaboration tools.
• PLUS Vision Corporation of America, a provider of digital projectors and electronic copyboards, launched its new PS200 and PV100 series of projectors. Both series feature Texas Instruments' DLP BrilliantColor technology, plus a range of software-based color modes through variable illumination. By adjusting the illumination on different segments of the color wheel, users can achieve a balance between color and brightness to suit a particular purpose, including optimizing modes for presentation materials.
