• Cisco introduced the Cisco CCDE certification for design experts. It was created to provide IT professionals who specialize in network design with a credential that recognizes senior-level expertise, and provides incentives for the experienced practitioner to continue his or her professional development.
• SkillSoft; SumTotal Systems, Inc.; and Eedo Knowledgeware partnered through SkillSoft's Open Learning Services Architecture (OLSA), a Web services-based, dynamic content solution for enterprise e-learning systems. The partnership is intended to offer the vendors' respective customers less costly technology integrations and richer solutions.
• Wildform released Flair, a redesigned version of, and major upgrade to, its WildPresenter Pro multimedia presentation and rapid e-learning software. Flair has a new interface with enhancements to provide easier access to the program's features, as well as a more intuitive workflow. It also features support for the PowerPoint 2007 PPTX format.
• YoungJin.com released "Windows Vista Accelerated," a book covering the Home, Premium, Business, and Ultimate editions of the Vista OS. Topics covered include upgrading to Vista, navigating the Interface, managing Files and Folders, and maximizing Windows Mail and Instant Messaging.
• Support, Inc.announced the beta launch of NetSupport Notify, a desktop alert mass notification system. The technology allows instant delivery of notifications and alerts across a LAN or WAN to both Windows and Mac desktops.
