Stewards of Children Watched Over by SumTotal
Mountain View, Calif.-based talent and learning solution provider SumTotal Systems was chosen by Charleston, S.C.-based Darkness to Light, a national child sexual abuse prevention, education and public awareness organization.
The nonprofit has launched the vendor's LMS to create an online version of "Stewards of Children," a sexual abuse prevention program.
TRC Interactive Delivers for State Bank of Herscher
State Bank of Herscher has selected Harrisburg, Pa.-based TRC Interactive, a provider of interactive training
for financial institutions, to deliver online instruction through TRC's BankTrainingOnline program. The Herscher, Ill.-based bank will have full use of the vendor's LMS, Training Center.

Minnetonka, Minn.-based HotGigs, a Web-based staffing solutions company, has launched ContractCentral, a service designed to help companies strategically manage their contingent workforce, reduce staffing costs and increase time-to-fill efficiency. The service automates the sourcing process and streamlines contract management and time invoicing across a company's preferred staffing vendor network.
Faster E-Learning Deployment
Perth, Ontario, Canada-based dominKnow now offers a built-in authoring tool it says will make e-learning courseware development less complex. Features include ability to create template libraries that can be re-used across an organization?s courseware projects, support for multimedia such as audio, video and Flash animations, centralized asset repositories of images, video and audio, a tool to assist with visual standardization of courseware, built-in spell check and export options like PDF, Flash paper and HTML.
A Hearty Deal for Knowledge Factor
Knowledge Factor in Denver, a specialist in confidence-based learning and performance mastery, has expanded its relationship with Newton, Mass.-based New England Organ Bank (NEOB). The vendor will build a training program to validate NEOB employees fully understand the process and procedures of screening and procuring heart and pericardium tissue.

Princeton, N.J.-based EduNeering, a provider of knowledge management solutions, will deliver technology-based learning services to implement a global Good Clinical Practices (GCP) program for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health.

New York-based Horizon Wimba, a provider of collaboration tools and software applications, has released Wimba Voice Tools version 5.1, which includes two new voice tools, the
Wimba Podcaster and the Wimba Voice Presentation Tool. Wimba Podcaster allows instructors to add audio files to online courses that students can then subscribe to as podcasts. To subscribe, a learner clicks a button on the Wimba Podcaster interface to sign up for the podcasts in iTunes or other podcast-ready software.

Shift Technologies, an on-demand, Web-based workforce management solutions company in Charlotte, N.C., has released a new version of the Issue Tracking application in its ThinMind suite of products. Its features include automated e-mail capture, in which Issue Tracking monitors specified e-mail accounts, automatically creating issue/support tickets when new e-mail arrives; and a new public data entry tool that allows external customers and individuals to enter and submit support requests directly from the Web.
